Siskiyou is a 25-year-old family owned business that designs and produces a wide variety of specialty products. The company was originally founded with the philosophy of creating pewter belt buckles with unique designs and only the highest quality workmanship. The range of products has greatly expanded but that core philosophy remains the same. Our 3-D designs are unmatched in the market. Close attention to detail in the sculpting and enameling of our pewter products sets Siskiyou apart in the market whether its buckles or licensed sports products or jewelry. Our product offerings have expanded well beyond the buckles and bolo ties that were the original mainstay of the company. We have not forgotten our roots and still continue to be the leader in producing buckles and bolos. However, over the past several years we have become a leading supplier of licensed sports products. We have added a wide variety of glassware, including thermoses and travel mugs, candles, gift boxes, wallets, checkbook covers, trailer hitch covers and money clips to jewelry, key rings and leather key rings. Our sports designs draw out the unique characteristics of each team that we produce. Additionally, we produce many other non-sports related specialty items. Our Earth Spirit and Earth Reflections line of jewelry has drawn inspiration from many of our nature designs. Many of the products for sports teams are also produced with nature, religious or other general interest themes. Wind chimes, potion bottles and perfume bottles also have been created with Siskiyou's special approach to design. All of our products can also be specifically designed for events, locations or for corporate promotions. As a private company, our staff is committed to providing the personal attention necessary to attend to our customers' needs. Protecting The Environment
The Mountain® has used environmentally-friendly water-based inks for nearly 20 years.
As long as 15 years ago The Mountain® began using organic cotton whenever possible, at a time when organic cotton was rare, and very few farms where willing to grow organic cotton.
For many years, both founders have been involved with Green Causes. One of them has been a longtime advocate of local, national and worldwide conservation organizations dedicated to keeping land preserved so that ecosystems can remain intact for future generations.
The other has had his personal land certified as an organic farm, making it possible for local farmers to use this land to grow
organic food.
Progressive Employment
Our shirts are dyed and printed in our own facility here in New Hampshire. We believe that Fair Trade starts at home by taking good care of our employees and their families.
The Mountain® maintains an on-site Child Care Center that is available for all employees’ pre-school aged children.
We make sure our employees are well-fed by serving healthy organic meals twice daily to the entire company free of charge.
